The simple fact is that only 1 in 10 actors have the time or will make the time to seriously pursue an acting career. We accept about 1 out of every 15 actors into the program, and limit the program to 50 verified actors at any one time. We limit the number of verified actors so that each actor has all the resources, performance opportunities, and help necessary to succeed.
PERFORMANCE TEAM PRIMARY CLASS
All actors must take a primary acting class once a week. This is considered your "Performance Team" Your class will be limited to 12 actors and will either be on Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 pm.
SCENE STUDY "THE HIVE"
In addition there are two scene study performance opportunities each week. We call our scene study performance class "The Hive". It takes place on Wednesday night from 7-11 pm and Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. The Hive is where directors and screenwriters may also see the actors perform for possible casting consideration.
STUDENT PROGRAM
The final program is for "Students". A student is an actor that we feel will be ready to perform professionally within one year but needs training. It may also be an actor that has the skills but not the time. We give them one year to arrange their schedule. Some actors are put in the student program until a space opens up in the verified program.
ASSOCIATE PROGRAM
Some actors have exceptional skill and an excellent industry business plan that does not allow for them to attend regular classes due to auditions, performances etc. They are kept in our associate program and are not required to attend classes but must perform in the "Hive" on occasion and may perform there as often as they like. They are not entitled to free Headshots, demo reels etc. as are our verified and student members. They are only cast if we need their type. They can participate on the forum, at events, and seminars.
PROGRAMED PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE
Each performance team is given the opportunity to perform on stage in our waiver theatre. All productions are original shows written for the actors. We will have two different shows a weekend in two time slots. Either Fri. - Sat. - Sun. at 7 p.m. with a weekend matinee or Fri.-Sat.-Sun. at 9 p.m. with a weekend matinee. All shows run for four weekends. When the show wraps it will have already been adapted for film and one of four contract film teams goes into production on the feature film of the same show. The actors that created the roles on stage are given first crack at the film roles. Once a stage show wraps the next performance team is ready with the next show and the circle continues.
CONTRACT FILM SCHEDULE
We have 4 in-house contract film companies that regularly produce feature films. These are Ambient Light Films, The Direct Broadcast Corporation, Haven Hollow Films and Mirror Mark Productions. They cast all films from within the company.
